ARGENTINA supporters have turned this game against Jordan into a home one for the World Cup holders. The AT&T Stadium is awash with white a blue.
There is a smattering of red shirts belonging to Jordan fans, but you have to look closely to find them. Those who bought tickets months ago will have been banking on getting to see Lionel Messi.
But he is one of nine changes Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni has made. Messi might be on the bench, but he continues to be the leader and talisman of his team.
He led the squad out for the warm up, to huge cheers from his fans. And when his face appeared on the big screen, the noise levels went up a few octaves.
There is no need to panic, however. Messi will be involved in the game at some stage in the second half.
