In a statement, ManCity announced that it would exhaust the legal remedies available. The club was “both disappointed and surprised” and said it was “innocent of the allegations made by the Premier League”.
The allegations became public for the first time on Friday. The Athletic wrote of 114 of 115 charges in which the English were guilty. The allegations target the business conduct of the club owners from Abu Dhabi, who took over City in 2008.
