Manager movement

WALES chiefs have opened the door for Craig Bellamy to join Burnley.
The Dragons boss has been offered the vacant manager’s job at Turf Moor where he spent two years as Vincent Kompany’s No2.
Bellamy, 46, previously said he wanted to stay and lead his country into Euro 2028 on home soil but SunSport understands he is weighing up his future.
But Football Association of Wales chief executive Noel Mooney has refused to rule out Bellamy, who failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, moving on to replace Scott Parker.
Mooney said: “Craig has been brilliant for us in terms of the football we play, and the energy we have.
“But of course, we have to be mindful of the fact that we are in a huge football industry, and that people have different objectives.
“In my opinion, Craig will go on to be a top, global coach. He loves the rhythm and intensity of day-to-day football.
“So the problem we have always had with him is the gaps between the international windows.
“He loves the game, he loves his country, and that shone through very brightly during his time with us – that he loves Welsh football.
“We were always open to the fact that people have personal ambition, that opportunities present themselves, and sometimes that someone has done something brilliant in an organisation and then another opportunity presents itself.”
