Zimbabweans identify economic growth as the most important goal for the nation, a recent Afrobarometer survey shows.
The call comes as virtually all citizens say they went without a cash income at least once in the year preceding the survey. Majorities also report going without medical care and food, while almost half experienced a shortage of clean water on one or more occasions.
Respondents hold mixed views on the country’s current economic condition and on the government’s management of the economy.
