Firefighters rescued a dog named Agusta and prevented a house fire from spreading during an incident in Santa Ana, California, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
Emergency crews responded to the residential fire and quickly worked to contain the flames. The OCFA said firefighters successfully confined the blaze to the garage, preventing it from extending into the rest of the home and limiting further damage.
During the response, firefighters also rescued a dog from the property. The animal was brought to safety as crews continued efforts to extinguish the fire and secure the scene.
Firefighter paramedics treated one patient at the scene and transported that person to a hospital.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
